Popular with bikers, horseback riders and drivers, the Natchez Trace Parkway is year-round scenic route leading through Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. People have used the trail for hundreds, maybe thousands, of years, as it was walked by Native-Americas, traders, trappers, missionaries, postal workers and travelers. Parts of the old trail can still be accessed by foot, bike or horse. It takes roughly two days to traverse the parkway by vehicle. Along the way, people will come across numerous historic sites, campgrounds, restrooms and visitors centers.
